Tunturi Elliptical Machine Review

The Tunturi elliptical machine is one of the best units I've ever used. It has an excellent program selection - the most options of any elliptical I've ever seen - and a very good console monitor as well.

The Tunturi includes 121 different training programs, including:

• Fitness test / recovery heart rate
• Constant watt
• Contact heart rate
• Quick start
• Manual

The warranty for residential use is 20 years on the frame and motor, and 3 years on electronic parts and other parts. This is the longest home elliptical machine warranty I've seen, so Tunturi obviously believes in the quality of their equipment.

And I don't blame them. This is one of the most solid machines I've ever used, either at home or in a gym. It is sturdy and quiet, with a good balance. This does come at a cost in its weight however. The Tunturi is a heavy machine, so it's not one that's well suited to being moved around. You'll want to find a permanent home for this elliptical, so you'll need to make sure you have enough space to dedicate to it.

The console monitor on the Tunturi is also excellent - much better quality and quite a bit easier to read than many other brands I've used.

The only thing I didn't like about the Tunturi's design is the position of the water bottle holder. My knee hits it if I'm not careful because of where it's located. I've seen other reviews that said the same thing so it's not just my particular height or body shape that's causing it.

The Tunturi is on the more expensive end of the scale as well, so if you're on a budget this may not be the best machine for you. But if you can afford it and you're looking for an elliptical that's going to last you for years to come, you can't go wrong with Tunturi.
