Stamina Elliptical Machine Review

Pros: Low price, decent monitor
Cons: Not very sturdy, limited range of resistance, slow customer service

The Stamina elliptical machine is one of the lowest-cost trainers you'll find. It is advertised as supporting up to 300lbs, but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone over 180-200 lbs.

I weigh about 200 lbs and I found the machine to be relatively lightweight and flimsy, to the point that I didn't feel comfortable using it at my weight. If you weigh less than 180 lbs, it is probably a lot more effective.

The monitor on the Stamina elliptical provides the following information:

• Speed
• Time
• Distance travelled
• Calories burned

There are only 8 levels of resistance in this model however, compared to as many as 20 in most competing ellipticals.

I haven't had the need to call Stamina's customer service department myself, but I have seen a number of bad reports from people on Amazon.com and other review sites who had trouble getting through and did not receive parts that they were promised.

Overall, if you are under 180 lbs and looking for a budget home elliptical machine, Stamina might be a good choice. But if you can afford to spend a bit more money, you'll be happier with a number of other brands.
