Nordictrack Elliptical Machine Review

Rating:

Pros: Cost, adjustable incline, adjustable stride length
Cons: Somewhat noisy, questionable build-quality

Nordictrack is one of the better-known brands of elliptical machine, in no small part because of the amount of TV advertising they have done over the years. They offer a lot of features that are often found on much more expensive ellipticals, but at a considerably lower price, such as the adjustable incline and the adjustable stride length.

There is a catch here, however. In order to include all these extra features at the lower price, they have to compromise somewhere. In the case of Nordictrack, that appears to be the quality of the components they use.

The quality of the display leaves something to be desired, as does the general build quality. It's not that there are obvious problems, they just aren't as sturdy and durable as some other (albeit more expensive) brands.

If you're looking for a home elliptical machine that isn't going to get a huge amount of use, Nordictrack is a good choice in the lower price range. But if you have several people who will be using it, on a daily basis, you will quite likely run into problems.

The warranty is better than many other lower-priced ellipticals however. Nordictrack includes a 1 year warranty, where most of the others are only 90 days.
