Horizon Elliptical Machine Review
Rating:

Pros: Solid build-quality, good value for the price
Cons: Assembly is a bit challenging, heart rate monitor a little buggy
The Horizon elliptical machine is a good value for the price. The quality of the unit is quite good, although the assembly can be a little challenging. A couple of steps are much easier with two people.
It has several preset modes, including:
- Manual
- Interval
- Rolling
- Weight loss
- Fat blast
- Cardio burn
It also has an decent display showing the current resistance, upcoming resistance (for modes that vary the resistance), time, level, distance traveled, and calories burned.
One of the things that drew me to the Horizon elliptical was the heart rate sensors built into the handlebars, which is something that is usually only available on more expensive units. While the sensors do work, they are not very accurate when I compare them to my dedicated heart rate monitor.
If you have a separate monitor, this is not going to be an issue, but I wouldn't recommend relying on the sensors on the elliptical machine itself.
