I need help putting a Drive Belt on a Bowflex Treadclimber TC 5000. Stretch tips?

We're stuck on step 4. With 2 adults pulling, we're almost there, it is not reaching by like 5 cms. Is there a trick to stretch the belt further out? We've already unscrewed the motor so it's tension free, but we can't move it that much. Any help is greatly appreciated. THANKS.

Since you seem to have total access, I suggest it’s similar to adding a new “belt” to a VAC, or a fan belt on a car,,,but much stronger. Why not find a piece of 1×2 lumber to use as a “wedge/Lever/fulcrum type thing” Or a large screwdriver, or “wonderbar” any, braced against the opposite side of where the belt has to rest.

The laws of physics were never stated to incluse humans,,,smiles. 5CM is as close as ones nose, yet as far as the Moon, when issues like this or similar occur.

The other guy’s idea is good, but if it doesn’t work then take the belt and soak it in warm, soapy water. The belt will be easier to stretch out and because of the soap it should slide on easy too. Good luck!
